The local dialect’s name of Raging River aptly describes one of the best whitewater runs in the world. Only recently opened for commercial rafting, the Marshyangdi is steeper and with a more continuous stretch of rapids. The trek boasts views of the Manaslu and the Annapurnas ahead of you the entire time.
From Ngadi downstream to the end of the trip at Bimalnagar it is solid whitewater. Rapids are steep, technical and consecutive, making the Marshyangdi a serious undertaking. For people looking for a trip with a lot of demanding whitewater and great mountain scenery, the Marshyangdi is hard to beat.

Instant Karna, Morphine, Twinkie and Good Morning.
An early-morning start by road to Besisahar where we will stay overnight.
After breakfast, we trek with porters to Nagdi, our stop for lunch and the night.
As soon as breakfast is out of the way, it is time for the all-important safety briefing ahead of a strenuous few hours’ rafting to lunch and the next campsite at Bhoteodar.
Another day of whitewater rafting awaits us as we travel further downstream the Marshyangdi until we reach our campsite of the day.
This is the last day of your river journey. Your trip ends at Bimalnagar and your private transport will take us back to Katmandu.
The rafting program is – because of weather or unforeseen events – subject to change.
